How to Make a Charitable Bequest

A charitable bequest is a distribution from your estate to a charitable organization such as The Arc of Madison Cortland or Building Futures Foundation through your last will and testament. There are different kinds of bequests and  it is recommended that you speak to an attorney or financial adviser to determine which one is right for you.

When making a charitable bequest to support The Arc of Madison Cortland make sure that you use our legal name:

Madison Cortland Chapter, NYSARC, Inc.
or
Building Futures Foundation, Inc.

The Building Futures Foundation is a public charity and the fundraising arm of The Arc of Madison Cortland. The mission of Building Futures Foundation is to support people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities through publically soliciting, receiving, and managing charitable funds which benefit numerous people, programs and services at The Arc of Madison Cortland.
