TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
Transports passengers within Madison County, providing both fixed route and demand-response service to
individuals attending programs and services operated by The Arc Madison Cortland.
WHEN WILL THE
BUS ARRIVE?
The bus will pick you up and drop you off at the time that has been arranged for you. It is our goal to have the bus arrive within five minutes of that time.
When the bus arrives, please be ready. If there is no response from the house or building within five minutes, the driver will call the main office and move onto the next stop.
Time may vary depending on attendance and weather. We will contact you if your schedule changes by more than ten minutes.
WHAT ARE THE RULES?
For the safety and well-being of all passengers, you are expected to stay in your seat while the bus is in motion.
The driver will be glad to assist you on or off the bus, but is not authorized to escort you to or from your door except during extenuating circumstances.
By New York State Law, the driver is not allowed to leave the bus unattended with passengers on board, expect in an emergency. In that case, the driver must turn off the engine and take the keys.
WHAT IF I NEED HELP?
The Arc Madison Cortland vehicles are equipped to accommodate wheelchairs. Additionally, if you ever need assistance during the trip or getting on or off the bus, your driver will be glad to help you. Please ask the driver for assistance.
